These will retail for $10 each and are perfect to hold small art supplies, charms, jewelry, and so much more. THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS  If you’re interested in this one or me making you a custom one, let me know in my comment section. I’ll be posting more tins very soon so stay tuned everyone! Junk Journal Work in Progress

Here’s my latest junk journal I’m working on. It’s not for anyone in particular yet and there isn’t a specific theme this time unlike my last two journal commissions I did. I’m adding things like removable envelopes for treasures stored inside and your hidden treasures. There’s also folders and extra compartments. I’m focusing on putting together images and quotes, photos, and more that I think work well together in their own unique and beautiful ways. I’m having a lot of fun working on this.

I’ve been trying new art techniques while making this journal. It’s all hand made and it’s giving me a nice chance to try some new things so it’s extra fun for me to create.

Here are just a few of my work in progress photos of my latest junk journal creation.

Like I say after every junk journal post, if you want me to make you one, leave a comment down below. Thank you and enjoy. xoxo

I’m not sure if I will sell the finished product yet but we shall see. It will definitely be a fabulously creative and one of a kind junk journal.

Junk Journals

I love making JUNK JOURNALS! If you’re not familiar with this art term, they are handmade books made up of recycled items such as papers from magazines, brochures, patterned paper, music sheets, envelopes, packaging, brown paper bags, maps, greeting cards, post cards, doilies, to name a few. The book covers can be made from cereal boxes, old book covers or any hard card boards, and much much more. I love making them and haven’t made any in a while.

You can definitely make or have a junkyard journal with images, papers, and recycling with no particular theme which I’ve made.  But now I’m creating and selling journals with specific themes so my clients who want to buy them have more options depending on their taste. I can create specific themes and personalize them for people. I don’t sell them for too much either.

Here are a few images of junk journals including a few that I just started and am working on. Let me know if you want one or if you you’d like me to make one in a specific theme or a diary with a little bit of everything in them.

Midnight Masquerade Tarot Installation

I have always loved the art of tarot. I was taught tarot and how to use and respect the cards at the age of twelve and have been doing it ever since. My first deck which I still use to this day is the “Original Rider Waite” deck. I also started using the Osha Oracle cards a few years ago. They can be considered tarot but I love combining all the cards when I’m doing a big reading. The oracle cards deal more with emotions, your thinking, and more.

I’ve always wanted to create my own tarot deck. Whenever I would go to the bookstore, I’d spend forever in the New Age section where I saw dozens of tarot decks, almost to the point where I felt overwhelmed. I was amazed to see how many decks were out there.

Over the years I’ve bought or have been given different tarot decks to try but I never felt connected to any of them and would always go back to my Rider Waite deck. I’ve done many readings for my family members over the years and they’ve always suggested that I create my own deck. Finally I got up the nerve to create my own version of the tarot. I wanted to create my first deck as a type of installation where you see everything at once. I also wanted to make them into 3-D mixed media pieces instead of just drawing on them. I’m using illustrations, jewels, bronze, silver, and more. I decided to do that because it’s something different that I haven’t ever seen in any other deck. I’m starting with the “Major Arcana” cards which are cards like, “The Lovers,” the “Emperor,” “Death,” etc. Eventually I’ll create the “Minor Arcana” cards such as the “Ace of Swords,” but for now, I’m enjoying what I’m making and I can’t wait to show the finished project.

Here are a few of the cards I’ve already made. I know I’ll be making other deck themes in the future but my “Midnight Masquerade” theme is a great place to start. I hope you enjoy what I’ve done so far.

Gargoyle Tombstone Candy Jars

There’s a few reasons I chose gargoyles is because I LOVE GARGOYLES. I still have one I bought in Paris when I was 17. Since Halloween is approaching, I’ll definitely be able working on spooky style pieces, more than usual. I thought making my own  6 Oz. candy jars would be a great idea. They will be very versatile so if you don’t want to use them for candy, you can keep trinkets, bath salts, charms, herbs, and a lot more in them.

A lot of people who make crafts for Halloween use mostly pumpkins, black cats, skulls, etc. I thought it would be really unique to use gargoyles for my jar lids, especially since I’ve always felt connected to them. I’ve loved gargoyles since I was little and I was lucky to buy one at the Notre-Dame de Paris. That was the first time  I went there in 2000. I already have six orders for these cute Halloween candy jars. The best thing about them is that you don’t have to put candy in them if you don’t want them. They are reusable and you can put trinkets, spooky charms, affirmations, etc. You can definitely get creative with them with what you want to put inside.

I am going to start making these gargoyle halloween jars this week and will post pictures of some of the items I will be using to create this unique one of a kind jars. I’m giving you a sneak peek of my cute gargoyles and head stones. If you’re interested in purchasing one of these, leave a comment below.
